Assistant professor Beth Lamanna
Health Care Without Harm Nurses Workgroup. Her project, Environmental Health and Safety for Healthcare Professionals, will focus on a regional conference on May 7, 2010, for nurses on environmental health and safety.
Participants will learn evidence-based standards of care in clinical environmental health and prevention for both themselves and their patients. The project also involves the active participation of registered nurses from some of the SON’s partner healthcare agencies. The SON’s Center for Lifelong Learning Web site (http://nursing.ce.unc.edu/) will post additional information about this conference in the months to come.
