Carolina Nursing News was launched as the forum for news and events at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Nursing. It’s an information hub moderated by the School’s Office of Advancement, and it is open to anyone for comment. We welcome all participation.
The School of Nursing graduated its first class in 1955 and there are now more than 6,800 alumni, including baccalaureate, master’s and doctoral graduates. The School enjoys an international leadership role in nursing research, education, and community service. Its thought leaders are involved in discussions about nursing’s future, and its graduates are found at the bedside providing the highest quality patient care, in research laboratories, in public health clinics and in corporate offices throughout the nation.
